Levante boss Paco Lopez insists he will extend his contract at the club beyond the current campaign: “It’s just a matter of time.”
Lopez was promoted from the club’s B-team to replace the sacked Juan Muniz in early March and has led the Valencia-based side to safety with a remarkable 19 points from eight league games in charge.
“My renovation is on track, it's now just a matter of time,” Lopez – whose short-term deal expires next month – told reporters, as cited by Marca.
“This week the club had the first real discussions with my agents but I can tell you that everything is on track and that both parties want the same conclusion, so it should not take long.
“We have a good understanding of what we want and at the moment, my mind is fully focused on Monday’s match against Leganes.”
