Andres Iniesta will hold a press conference at lunchtime on Friday to confirm his departure from Barcelona, it has been confirmed.
Iniesta, who celebrates his 34th birthday next month, has reportedly agreed a move to the Chinese Super League in summer and will bring his 22-year association with the Blaugrana to an end.
All of his Barca’s teammates are scheduled to attend the press conference, which will get underway at 1.30pm (CET) after the club’s training session on Friday comes to an end.
The Barca club captain is set to win his ninth league title with the club and 32nd trophy in total this weekend, with Ernesto Valverde’s side needing just one point at Deportivo to clinch the title.
Paulo Bento, the Coach of Chongqing Dangdai Lifan – the Chinese Super League club to which the Spain international has been linked – confessed this week that ‘any Coach in the world would want Andres Iniesta’ on Thursday.
