Casemiro has called on Real Madrid to receive more ‘credit’ for their away win at Bayern Munich and insists they ‘did not have luck’.
The Brazilian midfielder started in Madrid’s triumph and is now targeting a third straight Champions League trophy since his return from Porto in 2015.
“We played a great match and we deserve a lot of credit, I don’t think we had any luck,” Casemiro told Cadena Cope.
“The Coach made it clear that everyone had to be ready not just physically but psychologically and, in this game, Asensio and Lucas Vazquez were particularly impressive.
“This tie is not yet been resolved and we still have a lot of work to do, and now we hope our fans can give us the support to help us through to a final.
“Keylor was fantastic, he made many important stops and he keeps showing how vital he is for us.”
