Andres Iniesta has vowed to make a statement on his future ‘next week’ after giving Barcelona a ‘10’ for winning the Copa del Rey.
“I’ll announce my decision this week, said the midfielder, who was thought to have played his last Final for Barca on Saturday during their 5-0 thrashing of Sevilla.
“Today I feel happy and I have a very special feeling for the fans, not just for today but rather my entire career and the respect they have for me.
“Could they influence my decision? The fans’ affection has no price. The team and fans deserve a 10 tonight.
“There are many emotions, many feelings and many years inside of me, and I’m happy to be able to have painted this picture.
“However, I’m happiest to have won this trophy above all. The fans deserved this after what happened in Rome.
“I’m very happy on an individual and a collective level. The Copa fills us with enthusiasm to go and get the League, which we have to play for now.
“We can end a very good season with a very good taste in our mouths.”
