Bartra: I feel like a kid again!

Defender Marc Bartra admits he ‘feels like a kid again’ and is enjoying playing regular football after joining Real Betis in January.

The former Barcelona player joined Los Verdiblancos in a €10m deal in January and he has already established himself at the heart of a defence which has kept five clean sheets in seven games.

“I’m enjoying this moment, I feel like a kid again,” Bartra told El Desmarque.

“We all want to continue with our aim of making this club great again and putting it where it deserves to be – in Europe and challenging for trophies.

“Here it feels like I can achieve everything because I have always said Barcelona is like a bubble and you needed to leave your comfort zone to improve.

“My first season in Dortmund was amazing and I learned a lot but I felt it was the right time to move home and be playing regularly with a big club.

“Betis is perfect – a massive club, a great style of football, a brilliant fanbase, a wonderful city…and the most important thing of all, I am playing games.

“Setien has the perfect style, it is patient and it is adaptable but the main thing is that it is good for the players.

“We will see over the coming years, but I feel that I can have it all.”
