Theo Hernandez is anticipating a ‘special’ Madrid derby with the potential of going head-to-head against his brother Lucas Hernandez.
The full-back switched sides in Madrid last summer, but is unlikely to start ahead of regular left-back Marcelo in Sunday’s clash at the Bernabeu.
“Derby games are always special but coming up against my brother makes this even more special for me,” Theo told an interview with Diario AS.
“At home we do not discuss this and while we do annoy each other and wind each other up, we generally get on very well.
“I struggled at the start of coming here, it is such a massive club and it was not easy to adapt straight away, but I never had any doubts about coming here or my ability to succeed.
“Now I feel much better and I am very happy with how the season is panning out and my role at the club.
“My dream is to continue to grow here and become a first-team regular.”
