Luis Suarez insisted Barcelona’s 4-1 win against Roma was ‘not misleading’ as he rued the ‘great’ performance of opposing goalkeeper Alisson.
Suarez ended a year-long wait for a Champions League goal on Tuesday, rounding off the first leg of Barca’s quarter-final tie with Roma.
“My goal helped us extend our advantage and came when Roma were playing well,” the striker told BeIN Sports.
“Still, our goals wouldn’t have come if we didn’t reach their box with our combinations.
“We had plenty of chances to score goals and their goalkeeper had a great game, so the result isn’t misleading.
“Ter Stegen’s double stop? He could’ve come off his line, but he managed to save the shot after his mistake.
“We want to win all our matches. We have some peace in the League and the Copa Final is soon, but you never know in the Champions League. It’s a complicated competition.”
