Luka Modric believes Real Madrid has no preferences as to which players Zinedine Zidane starts against Juventus on Tuesday.
The Croatian international was not drawn on Madrid’s starting XI against the Italian champions in Turin with Gareth Bale, Isco, Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez all fighting for spots.
“We have demonstrated in the past few years that we can perform at a very high level in these type of matches,” Modric is cited as telling a pre-match press conference by Marca.
“It does not matter which of our players are on the pitch, it could be Gareth Bale or Isco or another player, because they are all at a very high level who all offer something different.
“Isco? He is a great player and displays this a lot, but it is the Coach who decides who plays and all the players respect these decisions.
“It has been a tough campaign for Bale because of a lot of injuries but recently he has been playing very well and is on a good run of goals.
“Gareth has great quality, with a lot of pace and ability to open up defences.”
