Zidane: Isco staying at Madrid

Zinedine Zidane has moved to rule out Isco leaving the club this summer: “he is a Real Madrid player and he is staying here.”

The comments come in the wake of rumours the playmaker may leave this summer, after commenting he did not feel the same ‘trust’ at club level as he does for Spain – for whom he netted a hat-trick against Argentina on Tuesday.

“Isco is a Real Madrid player and he is staying here,” Zidane told reporters on Friday, as quoted by Cadena Cope.

“His comments do not bother me, we have a relationship and he is honest about his situation, but this is not a problem and it is important we work together to find his best version.

“The media always like to take words and invent stories but we both know the situation and there is no concern.

“He will not travel to Las Palmas as he is not feeling 100% and neither is Sergio Ramos, so they will be rested but Gareth Bale is ready to play.”
