Future Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior ‘does not want to be another Neymar’ and wants to create his own legacy.
The 17-year-old has already netted 10 goals in 50 appearances for Brazilian club Flamengo and will move to the Bernabeu this summer, and is likely to be in the first-team squad next season.
“I don’t want to be another Neymar,” Vinicius told an interview with Goal.
“Of course I look to what Neymar has achieved in his career and these are important reference points for me and how I can improve myself.
“But I do not pay attention to any comparisons, I don’t like them at all and I don’t want to be just like him – I want to build my own career and have lots of success and bring joy to a lot of people in Brazil.”
