Man City’s ‘ridiculous’ Isco offer

Manchester City have launched an attempt to sign Real Madrid playmaker Isco this summer, according to reports.

The English Premier League leaders have long held an interest in the Spain international and indeed narrowly missed out on his signature in 2013, when Madrid signed the midfielder from Malaga.

Daily Madrid news outlet ABC have picked up on a report in English tabloid The Sun, which states City are preparing an €86m (£80m) offer this year.

The Citizens would be willing to offer the 25-year-old an annual salary of €10m, which is €4m more than his current wage packed at the Bernabeu.

However, any move appears extremely unlikely with the playmaker’s current contract holding a €700m release clause following a new deal signed in September.
