Silva pulls out of Spain squad

Spain have announced that Manchester City midfielder David Silva has left the squad for ‘personal reasons’.

Silva completed 71 minutes of Spain’s 1-1 draw with Germany on Friday, but a statement released by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) confirmed he would not be considered for La Roja’s friendly against Argentina on Tuesday.

No further details have been released at this stage, although the same explanation saw the 32-year-old miss several of City’s games in December.

Marca also reports Gerard Pique did not train on Saturday, while Sergio Ramos – who is expecting the birth of his third child – did only gym work.
