Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi says he is ‘optimistic’ about facing Spain on Tuesday, despite his lack of preparation
Messi missed Argentina’s 2-0 win against Italy on Friday with a hamstring strain, and the Albiceleste’s official Twitter account confirmed he skipped training the following day, doing ‘regenerative’ work instead.
However, the No 10 assured to TyC Sports: “I’ve been training normally and I haven’t felt an injury, but there’s still discomfort so we decided it was best if I let it clear for everything that’s coming up.
“I’m optimistic for Tuesday. I really want to play.”
