Spanish pair to leave United?

Spaniards Juan Mata and Ander Herrera could be two of as many as nine players leaving Manchester United this summer.

Mundo Deportivo cites The Daily Mail in claiming United’s elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Sevilla has prompted Jose Mourinho to overhaul his squad.

Consequently, Mata and Herrera could be part of a list that also includes Daley Blind, Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Anthony Martial.

Former Valencia attacker Mata joined the Red Devils in January 2014 and has made almost 200 appearances at Old Trafford, while midfielder Herrera has played 152 times since arriving from Athletic Bilbao the following summer.

However, both players have seen their roles increasingly marginalised and are not certain to make Spain’s World Cup squad.
