Cristiano Ronaldo’s offer to settle his tax debt for €10m less than the figure he allegedly defrauded was reportedly thrown out by the Spanish treasury.
According to El Mundo, Ronaldo hoped to satisfy Hacienda by repaying ‘€4-5m’ of the €14.7m he reportedly owed from his image rights.
However, the newspaper notes the tax office rejected the proposal and will go ahead with criminal proceedings against the Real Madrid star.
