Casemiro: Neymar would fit Madrid

Casemiro is hopeful Real Madrid sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar this summer and wants Zinedine Zidane to stay on as Coach.

The Brazilian midfielder wants his compatriot, who left Barcelona in a €222m world record transfer last summer, to join him at the Bernabeu.

“I go for every ball as if I was getting a plate of food,” Casemiro joked about his playing style on Cadena Cope, before revealing his thoughts on the club’s future.

“Zinedine Zidane is going to continue next season for sure, there is no doubt he is the best man for the club and the players love him.

“I hope he and Florentino sign Neymar, I’m hopeful he will come this summer and I am sure he and Cristiano would get along very well, but I believe right now he is cemented at PSG – you would need to speak to them.

“I had a very complicated childhood and playing for Madrid was always my dream, especially when I left Sao Paulo.

“The best player? Messi is great for sure, but I’m staying with the phenomenal Cristiano.”
