Neymar is reportedly desperate to return to Barcelona, but a poll suggests the majority of their fans do not want him back.
According to Mundo Deportivo, although Neymar ceased to be a Barca player on August 3, “part of his head and heart remained” in Catalonia, to the point that he has “repeatedly offered” himself back to the club.
The newspaper explains the Brazilian has now accepted that he was ‘wrong’ to find space away from Lionel Messi, having been ‘blinded’ by Paris Saint-Germain’s project and financial clout.
Furthermore, the 26-year-old “didn’t expect Ligue 1 to be so inferior or dirty” and “longs for a dressing room without clans or tension like Barca’s”.
However, a poll run by MD found that 67 percent of the 23850 Blaugrana fans who voted “haven’t forgotten his act of betrayal” in joining PSG for a world-record €222m last summer.
Neymar, who has scored 29 goals this season, has also been linked with Real Madrid, who eliminated his side from the Champions League earlier in the week.
