Valencia join race for Andre Silva

Valencia have registered an interest in out-of-favour Milan striker Andre Silva, according to reports in the Spanish press.

A report in Super Deporte reports Los Che are keen on the Portuguese international and view him as an ideal candidate to strengthen their squad.

Estadio Deportivo and Marca had both reported previously this week that Sevilla will attempt to move for the hitman this summer, while Wolverhampton Wanderers and Monaco have also been linked.

The futures of Sevilla’s striking trio Wissam Ben Yedder, Luis Muriel and Sandro Ramirez are all uncertain due to lack of minutes, form and goals.

The 22-year-old striker was one of the key arrivals in the Rossoneri’s €200m transfer spree last summer, arriving from FC Porto for €38m plus bonuses.

However, the Portuguese international has made only five Serie A starts for the club this season and the Milanese giants are said to be hopeful of recouping their initial transfer fee.

Silva netted 21 goals for Porto last season before earning his big-money move to Milan.
