Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian are preparing an ‘astronomical’ offer for Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta this summer, say reports.
The 33-year-old signed a ‘lifetime contract’ with the Catalan giants earlier this season, meaning he would be able to renew each season should he wish to continue along with the club.
El Mundo Deportivo state the Spain international would be ‘seriously tempted’ by the Chinese club’s offer of an annual wage of €35m.
The arrival of Philippe Coutinho is likely to lessen Barca’s reliance on their long-serving midfielder, who has spent the entirety of his professional career at the Camp Nou.
His decision on renewing his stay must be made by 30 April and the report states no ‘certain’ decision has been taken as things stand, with Iniesta’s future hanging in the balance.
