Real Betis forward Joel Campbell wants to make his loan move from Arsenal into a permanent transfer in summer, say reports.
The Costa Rican international has been side-lined for four months with ankle and hamstring injuries, restricting him to just three league appearances since he joined Los Verdiblancos last August.
“My idea is to stay here for many years but those decisions are not mine, I have been lucky enough to enjoy lots of different clubs and leagues but I like it here,” Campbell told Radio Marca Sevilla last week.
The 25-year-old joined Arsenal from Costa Rican club Saprissa in 2011 but scored only four goals in 40 appearances, but has enjoyed loan spells at Olympiakos, Sporting CP, Lorient and Villarreal.
A report in the London Evening Standard clarifies the forward will do ‘everything in his power’ to bring his spell with the Gunners to an end.
