Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has expressed concern over the lack of progress on Mauro Icardi’s new contract with the club.
The striker reportedly has a €110m release clause with the Nerazzurri, with Real Madrid heavily linked with a future move for the Argentine.
“The more we talk about Mauro’s renovation, the more it slows things down,” Ausilio told reporters, as cited by Marca.
The striker’s agent, Wanda Nara, then responded by stating: “I have to evaluate all the options available to Mauro.
“Everything relating to the player goes through me, so anybody who wants him in their team most firstly knock on my door.”
