Diego Simeone has confirmed Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco could join Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang this week.
A report in Cadena Cope stated the transfer could be worth up to €70m, with the Belgian’s former club Monaco will be entitled to 30% of any transfer fee.
“This would be an important sale for us and it’s a decision that is up to the player to decide,” Simeone said of the winger, as cited by Diario AS.
“Yannick is young, he has a bright future and has a big role to play for us, but we will now see if this happens or not.”
Marca say Carrasco was due to play for Atleti against FC Copenhagen on Thursday night but has now been left out of the matchday squad with talks ongoing.
The 24-year-old has made only eight league starts for Los Rojiblancos this season as he has fallen out of favour, especially with the January arrivals of Diego Costa and Vitolo.
Carrasco netted for Atleti in their 2016 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
