Guti: Managing Madrid? One day…

Real Madrid Under-19 Coach Guti (pictured centre) is hopeful of managing the first-team one day but insists Zinedine Zidane is still the best man for the job.

The former midfielder spent 15 years as a player in Madrid’s first team between 1995 and 2010, while he has managed the club’s Juvenil A side since 2013.

“Zidane must continue, there is no doubt about that, but in the future of course I would like to manage Madrid,” Guti told El Chiringuito de Jugones.

“The Champions League match is high stakes but it is the same for both sides, because for PSG it is not enough to just win Ligue 1 and the French Cup.

“Neymar? I think one day he will come to Real Madrid, but I hope it does not mean Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the club, that would not be good.

“Maybe Benzema will eventually join PSG, I don’t know – but Ronaldo must continue.”
