Aston Villa loanee Carles Gil has revealed what new boss Clarence Seedorf wants from Deportivo La Coruna – intensity and togetherness.
The former Real Madrid and Milan man has been brought in to save an ailing Depor side, who are in La Liga’s relegation zone, have conceded more goals than anyone else (51) and go into their visit of Real Betis on Monday without a win in 2018.
“He wants intensity and us to stick together,” the midifelder said at a Press conference.
“He sees that we apply pressure well, but then we lack aggressiveness to win the ball back.
“We’ve conceded too many goals. The main thing we need to do if we want to win is not concede, but we’ve also worked on that.
“It’s been a very productive week in all aspects and we hope that it can be reflected on the pitch.
“We have to treat it as a Final. We’re in a critical situation and it’s a vital match. Only winning counts.”
