Andres Iniesta has urged Barcelona to move on quickly from Sunday’s controversial Catalan derby against Espanyol.
The 1-1 draw was overshadowed by heavy rain and hostility towards Gerard Pique, who scored Barca’s equaliser, but Iniesta made it clear “it’s a derby and that’s where everything must end.”
“The points were shared, but we still added to our tally,” the midfielder told BeIN Sports after the game.
“The conditions weren’t the best, but it was an entertaining derby. We want everything to be calm now. It’s a derby and that’s where everything must end.
“We adapted well. There were flooded areas on the pitch, but the team had a great game and made a great effort.
“We came back from a goal down and we leave with the feeling that the team had a good game.”
