Roque Mesa thanks Swans fans

Roque Mesa has penned a heart-felt farewell to Swansea City fans after joining Sevilla on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

The 28-year-old became the Welsh club’s record signing in July when they spent €12.5m on his signature from Las Palmas, but only played one league game under new boss Carlos Carvahal.

“These have been very nice months in which I have known a beautiful city, a pleasant stadium and an amazing support,” Mesa wrote on his social media account.

“I couldn't have shown all my football in Swansea but I have lived one of my best moments of my career when the whole Liberty Stadium sang a song with my name.

“I am sure that with the support of the fans, Swansea will stay in the Premier League.

“I will cheer and follow them and I wish them the best of luck. Forever Jack.”
