Real Betis are confident of completing the double signing of defenders Marc Batra and Miguel Layun this week, according to reports in Spain.
Bartra, 27, has made a total of 51 appearances for Borussia Dortmund since joining from Barcelona in the summer of 2016 with Marca and Gianluca Di Marzio both reporting a deal is close.
The German giants signed Manuel Akanji from FC Basel this month with Bild initially reporting Los Verdiblancos have registered an interest in the former Blaugrana player.
Mexican international Layun has fallen out of favour at FC Porto, making only two starts for the Portuguese league leaders this season.
The 29-year-old had also been linked with a move to Alaves, while Celta Vigo and Deportivo La Coruna had reportedly previously held an interest.
Layun spent twelve months in England with Watford before moving to Porto in 2016 and is said to be available on an affordable permanent transfer or as a loan deal.
Rafael Navarro and Alin Tosca look set to depart the Seville-based club this month as the squad renovation continues to take shape.
