Swansea City midfielder Roque Mesa is ‘very close’ to joining Sevilla on a loan deal for the remainder of the campaign, say reports in Spain.
Estadio Deportivo say the central midfielder should complete a move to the Andalucian club this week, with the Welsh club paying an unspecified percentage of his wages.
The deep-lying midfielder only joined the Premier League club this summer in a €12.5m deal from Las Palmas, but he has started in only nine top flight matches so far this campaign.
El Desmarque reported on Wednesday the negotiations are at an advanced stage with the 28-year-old open to a return to La Liga and Los Rojiblancos keen to add a central midfielder.
The club are also working on deals for Barcelona full-back Aleix Vidal and a new striker, with Michy Batshuayi, Daniel Sturridge and Sandro Ramirez all said to be options.
