Report: West Ham scout Fabian

West Ham United are lining up a January move for Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz with manager David Moyes watching him against Barcelona, say reports.

The 21-year-old– who spent last season on loan at Elche – has proved a revelation at Los Verdiblancos this season, starring in 16 league games and scoring after 23 seconds in the Seville derby this month.

A report in ESPN states the Hammers have made him their number one target this month with Moyes travelling to Seville to watch him against Barcelona.

Fabian is said to be keen to sign a new deal at the Seville-based club but his current contract contains a €15m release clause, which the English club may decide to activate.

Last week, Fabian told Cadena Ser programme El Larguero: “My agents are currently negotiating with Betis and I really hope we can renew.

“My dream is to stay at the club and if this must happen through a renewal, then it will.”
