Sevilla to miss out on Batshuayi?

Sevilla could miss out on Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi as he may join Roma in a part-exchange deal instead, say reports.

The English champions reportedly want to sign striker Edin Dzeko from Roma and the Belgian could form part of an exchange deal, meaning the Andalucian club miss out on their target say Sky Sport Italia.

Earlier this week, the Guardian had reported Chelsea had made a bid for West Ham’s Andy Carroll, which would allow Batshuayi to leave.

The Blues have submitted a €24m (£20m) offer for the former England international, who has scored twice this year, to provide competition for Alvaro Morata up front report The Guardian.

Batshuayi joined Chelsea in 2016 but has failed to cement his place in the team, firstly as a deputy to Diego Costa before playing second fiddle to former Madrid striker Morata this season.

Last week, a report in El Desmarque outlined how Los Rojiblancos are keen to add to their striking firepower and provide further competition for Wissam Ben Yedder and Luis Muriel.

Then ESPN led reports in Britain that the English champions were open to a move this month as they seek to find a replacement in their squad.

The 24-year-old has started only three Premier League matches in two-and-a-half seasons at Stamford Bridge.
