Celta want Torino’s Boye

Celta Vigo have made out-of-favour Torino forward Lucas Boye their number one attacking target in January, according to reports.

Faro de Vigo report the Italian-based attacker will now be pursued by Celta who reportedly failed in their attempts to sign Joaquin Correa from Sevilla.

The 21-year-old joined the Turin-based club from Newell’s Old Boys in 2016 but has failed to make a significant impact and has yet to start a Serie A match this campaign.

A report in Sky Sport Italia last week stated the Galician side are interested in the Argentine, along with Italian duo Hellas Verona and Benevento.

Boye has netted three goals in 46 appearances in Italy with Torino said to be keen to sanction a deal this month, while Celta may reinforce after John Guidetti’s loan move to Alaves.
