Napoli have reportedly cooled their interest in Barcelona’s Gerard Deulofeu and instead will try to sign Sassuolo’s Matteo Politano, according to reports.
Gianluca Di Marzio and Rai Sport report that the Naples-based club’s board and Coach Maurizio Sarri are not convinced on the winger as they don’t believe he will fit their system.
The winger is no longer required at Camp Nou after the Blaugrana sanctioned a deal worth €160m for Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool with the club seem to sell several first-team squad players to free up funds.
Inter were also said to be interested in the Spaniard before their desires tailed off as the Catalan giants reportedly wanted a permanent move in the region of €20m.
Deulofeu has experience in Serie A with a successful six-month loan spell at Milan last term.
