Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz ‘dreams’ of renewing at the club despite Roma attempting to trigger his €15m release clause.
Reports across Italy and Spain – including El Desmarque, Marca and ABC de Sevilla – claim the Italian side’s sporting director Monchi has attempted to bring in the 21-year-old.
“My agents are currently negotiating with Betis and I really hope we can renew,” Fabian told Cadena Ser programme El Larguero.
“My dream is to stay at the club and if this must happen through a renewal, then it will.”
Fabian – who spent last season on loan at Elche – has proved a revelation at Los Verdiblancos this season, starring in 15 league games and scoring after 23 seconds in the Seville derby this month.
Reports suggest Betis are wary of Dani Ceballos’s departure to Real Madrid repeating itself in this case and so are keen to renew as soon as possible.
