Layun close to Betis move

Porto defender Miguel Layun is closing in on a move to Real Betis after his agent spent Monday negotiating with the club, say reports in Spain.

The Mexican international has fallen out of favour at FC Porto, making only two starts for the Portuguese league leaders this season.

The 29-year-old has also been linked with a move to Celta Vigo and Deportivo La Coruna but ABC de Sevilla report he prefers a move to Los Verdiblancos.

Layun spent twelve months in England with Watford before moving to Porto in 2016 and is said to be available on an affordable permanent transfer or as a loan deal.

Betis are thought to have offered a loan deal with a €5m option to buy but Porto may wish to make this a compulsory purchase.
