Real Betis are lining up a January transfer for Rubin Kazan midfielder Ruben Rochina, who looks set to return to La Liga, say reports in Spain.
The 26-year-old is set to leave the Russian club, who have come into financial difficulties in recent times and who reportedly owe the midfielder several months’ wages.
Rochina joined Rubin Kazan from Granada in a €10m deal in 2016 when Javi Gracia was the manager of the Eastern Europe side, signing several players from La Liga.
The Barcelona youth graduate spent three-and-a-half seasons in England with Blackburn Rovers whilst also enjoying short-term stints with Real Zaragoza and Rayo Vallecano.
