Valencia have completed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin, Arsene Wenger confirmed on Wednesday night.
The 26-year-old has fallen out of favour at The Emirates Stadium, starting just one league game to date after starting 62 league matches across the three previous campaigns.
“Yes. He goes to Valencia, he didn't get enough games,” Wenger told reporters after Wednesday’s draw with Chelsea.
“I let him go.”
Coquelin has fallen behind Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka and Jack Wilshere in the pecking order, while West Ham were also said to have been interested in his signing.
RMC Sport has reported the length of contract to be four-and-a-half years while the reported fee is in the region of €10m.
