Valencia agree Coquelin deal – report

Valencia have reached an agreement with Arsenal for the permanent transfer of midfielder Francis Coquelin, according to reports.

The 26-year-old has fallen out of favour at The Emirates Stadium, starting just one league game to date after starting 62 league matches across the three previous campaigns.

Cadena Ser reported Los Che’s interest on Monday with Cope Valencia reporting a three-and-a-half year contract had been offered for the Frenchman with a bid said to be between €10m and €12m (£8.8m and £10.5m).

On Wednesday, the reputable RMC Sport in France reports a four-and-a-half year deal has been struck between the two clubs with an announcement expected within the next 24 hours.

Coquelin has fallen behind Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka and Jack Wilshere in the pecking order, while West Ham were also said to have been interested in his signing.
