Italian giants Inter are closing in on a loan deal for out-of-favour Barcelona forward Gerard Deulofeu, according to reports.
The 23-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan in Serie A with Inter’s city rivals Milan after not being involved in Everton’s first-team action, before returning to the Camp Nou in summer in a €12m deal.
The Spain international has started only six La Liga games this season for the Blaugrana, scoring once, and can play on either side of an attacking three.
A report in Tuttosports claims Deulofeu – who netted four goals in an impressive 17 matches in Italy last season – looks set for a swift return to the city.
Last month, reports in Diario Sport and El Mundo Deportivo stated the forward could be set for a two-year loan move to the Nerazzurri.
The Milanese giants are also said to be eyeing up the potential of a loan move for Barcelona full-back Aleix Vidal – also wanted by Roma – with Joao Cancelo possibly to return to Valencia with Inter unwilling to take up their purchase option.
