Mir to Madrid a ‘done deal’

Valencia young striker Rafa Mir will officially complete his switch to Real Madrid in a deal reportedly in the region of €500,000.

The forward was present during Madrid’s pre-Christmas El Clasico clash at the Bernabeu and is said to have repeatedly rejected new contract offers at the Mestalla.

The 20-year-old has hit 15 goals in just 19 League appearances for Los Che’s B team in the same division this season but has failed to break through since making his senior debut in November 2015.

Mir was blooded into the first-team squad by former Coach Nuno Espirito Santo but due to limited opportunities since, he looks set to leave the club.

Marca report he will join Madrid’s Castilla team in their efforts to win promotion to Spain’s second tier.
