Barcelona will proceed with their plans to sign Angel Di Maria in a deal worth up to €60m next month, according to reports in Spain.
The Argentine midfielder has struggled for regular game-time at the Paris Saint-Germain this season, starting only ten league games under Coach Unai Emery.
A report in Diario Sport suggests the Catalan giants are willing to pay €45m up front with a further €15m for Di Maria, who previously played for arch rivals Real Madrid.
Di Maria left the Bernabeu for an ill-fated move to Manchester United in 2014 before moving to the Parc des Princes the following year and he has netted 18 Ligue 1 goals in 71 appearances.
The Parisians are reportedly keen to meet UEFA Financial Fair Play sanctions hence their acceptance of such a deal, which could end Barca’s pursuit of Philippe Coutinho.
