Spanish striker Mariano Diaz must ‘change’ his game and work on his teamwork, according to his Coach at Lyon, Bruno Genesio.
The 24-year-old has made an impressive start to life at the French club after a summer move from Real Madrid, netting 13 goals in 18 Ligue 1 appearances to date.
“His game must change,” Genesio told French outlet RMC, as cited by Diario AS.
“Obviously he can score a lot of goals and you can see that from his numbers alone but he must work on improving his teamwork and link-up play with others during matches.
“There have been a few times every game he has opted to go alone rather than pass the ball to a teammate, which was the more sensible option.
“He is still young and has a lot of time on his hands to learn these traits and improve his game, but he must strongly consider this.”
