Berizzo on N’Zonzi: My authority is final

Sevilla Coach Eduardo Berizzo has cast further doubt on midfielder Steven N’Zonzi’s future by stating “I only want a team where everybody is committed.”

The French midfielder has once again been excluded from his side’s trip to Real Sociedad this weekend amid doubts he has played his final game for the club.

The former Blackburn and Stoke player stormed out of the stadium after being substituted in last month’s 3-3 draw with Liverpool at half time and has not featured since.

“My way of thinking is for my teams to play collectively, and right now that does not include him,” N’Zonzi is quoted as saying by El Desmarque.

“I believe in a collective idea of a game and whilst not everybody has the same approach, the authority of the Coach is the authority of the Coach and I only want the best for my team.

“N’Zonzi is a great player but I only want a team where everybody is committed.”
