Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis admits Atletico Madrid will allow them to sign Sime Vrsaljko, but not until the summer transfer window.
Vrsaljko has only started 14 La Liga matches since joining Los Rojiblancos last summer from Sassuolo, with Juanfran preferred in the right-back slot.
The Croat is therefore the subject of attention from a number of Serie A clubs, with the Naples-based side said to be leading the way.
“I spoke to Atletico’s president [Enrique Cerezo] on the phone recently an he told me that he can’t give him to me now, but in June, because they have too many games,” De Laurentiis told Il Mattino.
The full-back formerly played in Serie A for both Genoa and Sassuolo.
