Mina’s future unclear – agent

The agent of Barcelona-target Yerry Mina has confirmed other clubs still want to sign the Colombian defender, whose future is unclear.

Reports have suggested the 23-year-old had already signed a pre-contract deal with the Catalan club in a €9m deal for next summer but they want to advance this signing to next month.

“At this moment in time there has been no further contact with Barcelona,” Jair Mina told Cope.

“I have previously spoken to Robert Fernandez (Barca’s sporting director) but there has been no advancement on that and right now he is still a Palmeiras player.

“It is important Barcelona state their intentions, as if they want him to arrive in January a deal could be arranged and the player would be happy to make the move then.

“However, other clubs have now been in contact and are currently talking with Palmeiras, including Borussia Dortmund and they are an interesting option for the player.

“There is no official bid from them but the player would be interested in joining them.”

Mina moved to Palmeiras from Sante Fe last year and won the Brazilian League in his first season, while making its Team of the Year.

He also has nine caps for Colombia, scoring three goals.
