Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has rejected claims the Club World Cup is an ‘easy’ tournament and insists it is difficult to win.
The Costa Rican international won the tournament last year with Madrid, who are aiming to win a record sixth title and their third in the past four seasons.
“People think that the Club World Cup is an easy tournament but that is not the case,” Navas told FIFA.com.
“Just because teams are not from the powerful leagues, that does not mean they don't play well and we have to face each match with total focus.
“There have been many difficult games for us but we never lost our faith in ourselves; we always trust everyone and we have a full assurance that every player will give their full effort.”
