Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro is open to the possibility of joining La Liga title rivals Valencia in January, according to reports in Spain.
The French striker’s future at Los Rojiblancos appears uncertain and last month he admitted he may need to leave the club in the winter transfer window.
A report in Cadena Cope on Monday suggests the green light has been given by the striker to Los Che, who sit one point above Atleti in the current standings.
Gameiro’s future has been highlighted due January’s arrival of Diego Costa at the Wanda Metropolitano, while Luciano Vietto is another striker at the club who’s future is unclear.
The 30-year-old has started only five La Liga games this season for Diego Simeone’s side and has scored 20 goals since his 2016 move from Sevilla.
