Jese disciplined by Stoke City

Stoke City have disciplined forward Jese Rodriguez after he left the substitute’s bench early during a recent win against Swansea.

The 24-year-old is reported to have stormed off down the tunnel after Stoke boss Mark Hughes made his final substitutions in the weekend victory.

“He made a mistake. He's been disciplined for that,” Hughes is quoted as saying by the BBC.

“He understands it wasn't the right decision at that time.

“Has he apologised? Not in so many words because his English isn't great but he understands that it was incorrect.

“It's been addressed, we've obviously highlighted what he needs to do in the future. He's a little bit frustrated, he wants to play, as all players do.”

The Spaniard joined PSG in a €25m deal from Real Madrid last summer but did not settle in the French capital and completed a loan move to hometown club Las Palmas in January.

His return to Los Amarillos was met with mixed success – three goals in 16 appearances at the Gran Canaria side ran out of steam in the second half of the season.
