Cesc Fabregas is prepared to face former club Barcelona in the next round of the Champions League and says Chelsea don’t fear anyone.
The Premier League champions finished second in their group, behind Serie A’s Roma with Atletico Madrid in third, and could as a result get a more difficult draw with Barca one of the possibilities.
“We have to be prepared for anyone. We are a competitive team and we don’t have to be afraid of anyone, as we have already shown. If you want to go far you have to beat the best,” the midfielder said, Mundo Deportivo reports, before he touched on Atleti’s elimination after the 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.
“It’s a pity about Atletico because they deserve to be there for everything they have achieved in recent years.”
