Qarabag’s Spanish winger Dani Quintana has admitted he ‘would not mind not giving Atletico Madrid a favour’ on Tuesday night.
The Azerbaijani champions must gain at least a point away at Roma on Tuesday for Diego Simeone’s side to stand any chance of progression to the knockout stages.
“The truth is I would not mind not giving Atletico Madrid a favour,” Quintana told an interview with Cadena Cope.
“That being said, I am absolutely convinced we have the potential to gain a positive result in Rome, but of course this will be extremely tough and we will find it very difficult.”
Combined with Roma not winning, Atleti must win away at Chelsea on Tuesday night.
Quintana started his career at Valencia and since had spells at Ferrol, Huracan and Gimnastic before moving abroad.
