David Silva admits he is ‘incredibly proud’ to extend his Manchester City contract and confident the club will win trophies under Pep Guardiola.
The 31-year-old’s contract extension at the Etihad Stadium until June 2020 has been confirmed by the club and will ensure the playmaker will spend a decade at the English club.
“With Pep in charge, I feel we have the chance to win trophies this season and in years to come,” Silva told the City website, as quoted by Diario AS.
“I'm happy to commit my future to the City; I am incredibly proud of what I have achieved during my seven and a half years here.
“It is a pleasure to participate in a style of football like ours, and I look forward to winning more titles in the coming years.”
Silva joined City from Valencia in 2010 and has won the Premier League title twice with the club.
